Lies for children and their kind

Lies is a good word for stories. These are the kind of stories I would love as a kid. Sometimes rhymes, usually grisly, most of them a warning against bad things happening to regular people (moral unclear) and beautiful line drawing pictures with block fills. And red, Red, importantly, RED. Hand dipped in blood (ink). Illustrations and stories , probably fine for children who know about hell, idk, I don't have kids, I'm the aunt to six nephews, two nieces. Parents know that's mayhem vibes. But there's no swears in or obscenities, just some grisly demises. It would thrill me if a kid read this and loved it.
